Smart Modify Tool

To modify a feature:

  1. Execute the Smart Modify command. The Command Settings dialog appears.
  2. Set the Selection Criteria from the pull down menu. The None setting signifies no selection criteria is desired.

    Note: This pull down is populated from your current workspace configuration and may look different than the above example.
  3. Toggle the Ignore Annotation setting as required. Off signifies that annotations are to be left at their current location and orientation.

  4. Change the feature display setting to the desired display mode. It is used to display the selected feature and related features.

  5. Hover over the feature to be selected. An additional icon is displayed alongside the AccuSnap icon to indicate the modify mode that the command will enter.

  6. While hovering over the feature and while the desired mode is displayed, press the left-mouse button (Accept). The tree view populates with the feature information and related feature information. The user is now able to modify the feature and related features. If the desired feature was not selected, a right-mouse (Reset button) loads the next feature within the location tolerance.

  7. Move the cursor to dynamically display modifications to the features.
  8. Accept or Reject the changes by pressing the left-mouse button or right-mouse button respectively.
    Note: AccuDraw and AccuSnap are both available to help define the new location.
  9. The command will restart. To exit the command, right-mouse button again.
